- Scope
- The Ira Schneider collection comprises six black and white photographs of Charlotte Moorman and Nam June Paik. Photographs were taken by Schneider in 1969 and 1970. Charlotte Moorman, wearing TV Bra, performed with the cello. Nam June Paik was featured in the photograph, while he was installing artwork for the exhibition titled Vision and Television at Rose Art Museum in 1970. Photographs were all signed by Schneider and one of five editions.

- Born in New York, in 1939, Ira Schneider (Schneider) studied at Brown University and University of Wisconsin-Madison. Beginning with 16mm film, Schneider participated in TV as a Creative Medium at Howard Wise Gallery in 1969 with his first video work, Wipe Cycle. As a co-founder of Raindance Foundation, Schneider published Radical Software from 1970 to 1974. Schneider received John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Fellowship in 1977, National Endowment for the Arts in 1978, Fulbright Senior Research Fellowship in 1993, and ‘Best Short Short Film’ from Paris Short Film Festival and ‘Best Short Film’ from Berlin Short Film Festival in 2015. Schneider has made non-narrative videos, video performances, comedies and multi-monitor video installation. Schneider lives and works in Berlin.
