Scope
Jung Ki Yong collection spans the years 1967-1996 and consists of photographs and publications on Nam June Paik (Paik). The collection covers exhibitions of Paik, collaboration with Charlotte Moorman (Moorman), and fluxus. The collection includes exhibition brochures, catalogues, performance flyers, posters and programs that related to Paik, Joseph Beuys and John Cage. All items are recorded in English, German, Japanese, and Korean. Items are arranged based on medium first and then chronologically. Exhibition titles in Korean are indicated with << >> and work titles in Korean are recognized with < >. All titles in foreign language are written in Italic.

Highlights of the collection include a photograph of Paik and Moorman shooting Hommage for Cello on the Guadalcanal Island, photographs of Paik visiting Joseph Beuys’s studio in Dusseldorf, a photograph of Paik taken by Hong-goo Kang, and a photocopy of floor plan for the exhibition titled Beuys Vox, prepared by Jung himself with Paik.
Abstract
Ki Yong Jung (Jung) opened Gallery Won in 1978, and introduced Nam June Paik’s (Paik) works in Korea for the first time. Jung made Paik’s works being acknowledged in Korea through several exhibitions on Paik. Jung dealt many art works by Paik, Jung Seob Lee, Hwan-gi Kim, Marc Chargall, Joseph Beuys, Joan Mitchell and among others. Jung focused on French art works and introduced many French art works in Korea. Collecting art works from school days, Jung is a renowned collector in Korea and retired in 2000.
