Abstract
Since its opening in 1978, Gallery Won has organized exhibitions of Korean contemporary artists as well as internationally renowned artists, introduced foreign-based Korean artists to Korean art scene, and supported emerging artists. Gallery Won also provides multi/cross-genre art featured space. The gallery relocated from Insa-dong to Chungdam-dong in 1994.

Organizing and planning solo exhibitions as well as group exhibitions with Nam June Paik in the late 1980’s and the early 1990’s, Gallery Won presented <Nam June Paik: A Pas de loup de Seoul a Budapes> in 1990 and <Beuys Vox> in 1988.

Ki-yong Jung from Gallery Won is a friend of Nam June Paik, who introduced Nam June to Korea for the first time in 1984. He has collected artwork through his life and supported several exhibitions on John Cage, Joseph Beuys, and Fluxus artists.
