- Description
- Eunjoo Lee specializes in photographing portraits of artistic and cultural figures and stages of performing arts. This photograph is one of Nam June Paik’s studios in New York. Paik maintained studios on Grand Street, Broome Street, Greene Street, and Mercer Street in Soho, New York. The picture shows a video-editing studio located in the loft of Paik’s house where he lived with Shigeko Kubota from 1974, on 110 Mercer Street. On the right-hand side is a set of electronic equipment including control boards and output devices such as monitors and speakers. On the left-hand side, a bookshelf lies in which videotapes and file folders are placed.
