- Lim Young Kyun formed a relationship with Nam June Paik while studying at New York University and the International Center of Photography, and took several pictures of Paik’s artistic career since the 1980s. The current photograph portrays Paik awarded with the “Mayor‘s Liberty Award” at a ceremony of 100th birthday of Statue of Liberty, held on July 1st, 1986, at Battery Park, New York. Paik was appointed as one of the most influential immigrants in the development of the US since the country’s history.
