- Lim Young Kyun formed a relationship with Nam June Paik while studying at New York University and the International Center of Photography, and took several pictures of Paik’s artistic career since the 1980s. The current picture shows a scene from a performance with Charlotte Moorman held at the Whitney Museum of American Art in June 1982. The performance by Paik and Moorman was held twice, on the evenings of June 2nd and 3rd. The two artists performed 26’ 1.1499” for a String Player (1953) by John Cage. Moorman played Cage’s piece by holding Paik’s body as her instrument (cello).
