- Description
- Nam June Paik depicted the scene of women enjoying the folk game of see-sawing on traditional Korean holidays, in his unique and humorous way. Although portrayed in simple black lines, Paik accurately illustrates the woman who is bouncing up; the shape of her skirt and ponytail, as well as the angles of her upper and lower body. In parallel with the plank is a dotted line, which balances the two players. An additional figure is depicted in blue, connected with the woman on the right through a blue dotted line. The figure may represent the woman falling from the plank when she is off-balance. Or, it may depict a spectator watching women enjoying the see-sawing.
