- Description
- In Memoriam George Maciunas was created by Joseph Beuys and Nam June Paik while remembering their performance when Maciunas, the master figure of Fluxus, had passed away. The piece is, therefore, a union of Paik, Beuys, Maciunas, and Fluxus. The work consists of Urklavier, a small piano made out of tree sticks, and Beuys's legendary felt wedge, along with an LP of Beuys and Paik’s duet performance.
